Sports News: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is known as the most prominent and influential organization in the sports world in India. It is not only the richest cricket board in the world, but is also considered the economic backbone of sports in India. Now this BCCI is taking a big step towards realizing the dream of Olympic Gold.

BCCI will now be a partner of Olympic Mission

According to a report by the Indian Express, BCCI is now considering adopting and funding 2-3 Olympic Games. This step is under the scheme of the Sports Ministry, which is being talked about setting up sports training centers across the country. The special thing is that BCCI has shown deep interest in this mission.

Los Angeles Olympics 2028 preparations begin

The Government of India is gearing up for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics after not being able to perform as expectations at the Paris Olympics. The Sports Ministry now wants to create a specific training center for every game, where special training and rehab will be provided to 100 to 200 possible athletes.

BCCI's expertise may have a special role here, as it has recently prepared the National Cricket Academy (NCA) with state -of -the -art facilities on the same lines.

Inspiration from Odisha model

This strategy of BCCI is like the Odisha government, which worked together with Hockey India and gave India a hockey medal in two Olympics. Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha, is today called the "Hockey Capital of India". Now BCCI also wants to help in getting an Olympic medal in sports like hockey.

Corporate and PSU also came forward

According to the report, corporate sector and government undertakings (PSUs) are also showing interest in funding of these Olympic training centers. There are already 23 centers of Sports Authority of India (SAI) across the country, but only 3 of them are single sports centers. Now the goal is that every center is focused on one game and from there talent should be prepared for the next Olympics.

Focus on sports like baseball is possible

The report also states that BCCI may also come forward to promote sports like baseball, as its structure and skill training is similar to cricket. This can help India enter the Olympics to enter new sports and increase medal prospects.

A historical attempt to present Indian sports culture

This step of BCCI is just a historical attempt towards moving Indian sports culture firmly on the global platform by exiting the purview of cricket. If this plan is realized, the day is not far when the Indian athlete will wave the tricolor in every field in the Olympics, and BCCI will be a prominent partner of this pride.
